Summary of Job Duties:The UAMS Pediatric Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellow position is a 12-month position, with the Fellowship providing 2000 hours of supervised training (which meets APPIC standards and Arkansas Psychology Board licensure requirements for postdoctoral training hours). The Fellowship program is a part of a comprehensive interdisciplinary training effort within the Department of Pediatrics at UAMS, and involves other trainees such as medical fellows, residents, students, social work interns, and speech/language pathology interns. In addition, psychologists are embedded in other sections within the Department of Pediatrics (i.e., Children at Risk, Adolescent Medicine, Behavioral Pediatrics, Center for Applied Research and Evaluation). There are opportunities to participate in various elective experiences such as research, TF-CBT training and various pediatric subspecialty outpatient clinics.
Qualifications:
Ph.D required.
Only graduates of an APA or CPA accredited programs will be considered.
Applicants should have completed a predoctoral internship accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (AAPIC).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Have well-established clinical interests and experience in pediatric psychology, child psychology, and/or behavioral medicine.

Responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostic interviews, consultations, and brief interventions within outpatient medical subspecialty clinics.
Administer psychoeducational, developmental, neuropsychological, and behavioral assessments.
Provide outpatient psychotherapy and consultation-liaison services in inpatient hospital settings.
Foster interprofessional development and collaboration.
Assist in program development, potentially collaborating with faculty on quality improvement and research projects.
Allocate time for attending conferences, trainings, and educational activities.
Participate in didactic and training sessions including pediatric and psychosocial grand rounds, developmental and behavioral lectures, interdisciplinary journal clubs, monthly peer review and case conferences, and psychology presentations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
