In this role, you will:
Work on 1-2 research projects over 6-9 months in a discipline aligned to your expertise
Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas
Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for GE Aerospace
Receive technical insights, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists
Share project progress internally and externally through presentations, written reports, and IP disclosures
Required Qualifications:PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Structural Dynamics
Strong fundamentals, domain knowledge and analytical skills
Execution mindset, self-driven with a sense of urgency
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a global team environment
Desired Characteristics:Proven expertise in the fields of structural mechanics, dynamics, vibrations and damping or composites modelling/ characterization
Good track record through top-notch publications and experience of working in applied research labs in the above areas
Proficiency in simulation software (e.g. ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, ADAMS)
