Posting Number: S06302P Department: Speech Language Hearing Salary Range: $61,008, DOQ Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Richardson Job Description: The Integrative Laryngeal BioPhysiology Lab (UT Larynx Lab) is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research focusing on the role of the larynx in sensorimotor voice disorders, the effects of increased vocal demands, and the interplay between the larynx and other vocal subsystems. The lab operates collaboratively between The University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. This position will report to both locations as scheduled by the supervisor. This position is in the department of Speech, Language and Hearing in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at UTD (bbs.utdallas.edu). UTD is the fastest-growing University in Texas, is ranked number 3 in the nation among universities less than 50 years old and houses a vibrant research community. The city of Dallas is an international economic hub with a vibrant cultural atmosphere and world-class sports and entertainment in a temperate climate. The salary for Post-Doctoral Research Associates in BBS is determined by years of experience per the current NIH ( NRSA ) stipend levels. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications. This position is funded for one (1) year with the possibility of renewal, dependent on performance and continued funding availability. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D in a related field. Preferred Education and Experience: Preferred Education and Experience + Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. + Clinical experience or certification in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC - SLP ) is a plus but not required. + Familiarity with grant writing and securing research funding.
