Position Summary:

As a postdoctoral fellow you will be become an integral member of the interprofessional team co-leading the creation of the Knowledge Mobilization Hub of RiSBOd, Réseau Québécois de recherche intersectorielle en santé buccodentaire et osseuse durable (formerly known as the RSBO). RiSBOd was recently renewed by the FRQS. You will be supervised by Argerie Tsimicalis, RN, PhD (McGill), Karyn Moffat, PhD (McGill), and Aimee Dawson, Full Professor, (Laval; Lead for Partnerships), in collaboration with Persons with Lived Experience Co-Leads.

You will join the provincial committee of the Knowledge Mobilization Hub, to be comprised of varying key stakeholders including scientists, clinicians, decision-makers, and patients and families with lived experience. As part of your training, you will conduct a study to describe, prioritize and support the knowledge mobilization needs of the RiSBOd. Further, you will conduct a user-center study to design and create an interactive and engaging website with members of the RiSBOd. The postdoc will aid in the supervision of trainees and consultation with patient partners. Towards the end of the first year, the website will begin to take transformations showcasing varying knowledge mobilization products, and website functionalities to actively engage the RiSBOd community, which will continue in the second year of training. This work will be based on the findings, ranked priorities, input from the provincial committee, and leading evidence in website design and online engagement. Altogether, these findings will inform the creation of a strategic plan for mobilizing the knowledge of the RiSBOd community. All of the proposed training will be participatory and collaborative in nature, requiring soliciting input, generating consensus, and making decisions in partnership with varying key stakeholders.

Scholarly outputs will include peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and a website. Grantsmanship will also be part of the training, commencing in the first year with postdoctoral award application and preparing for an operating grant submission the following year. The position is available immediately, and preference will be given to applicants who can begin within a short time window. Funding is available for a two-year appointment, renewable for the second year based on mutual satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Have completed a PhD, or in the final stages of doctoral defense.Thrive working in collaborative, transdisciplinary environments with diverse colleagues from different backgrounds and partners representing vulnerable populations (e.g. children, older people, and underrepresented and marginalized communities)Have excellent oral and written communication skills (English and French) and other languages (asset)Experiences with qualitative methods, website designs, communication science, knowledge mobilization (e.g. including as a knowledge broker), are idealDemonstrated a strong track record of the receipt of competitive awards, publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to conferences, and novel knowledge mobilization products, events or networks, particularly website designShowcased ability to engage and influence a community (in person and/or virtually)Self-directed and motivated with the ability to work independently and interdependently, paying attention to details, relations, and time.

As the position involves multiple academic departments as well as work with several stakeholder groups, (RiSBoD) it is expected that the successful applicant will work in a variety of locations both on and off campus, within the greater Montreal area.
