We are looking for a motivated and driven Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team in an innovative automated process control project within cell culture manufacturing. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and implementing sophisticated automation strategies for biologics drug substance production, with a strong emphasis on modeling and process control. You will collaborate closely with the Leiden site and the Global Process Science Modeling Data teams to demonstrate the potential of model-based feedback control in revolutionizing cell culture processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design mechanistic models to accurately capture the behavior of various cell lines in cell culture processesInfer key model parameters’ values from dataDesign a model-based feedback control loop to dynamically optimize critical process parameters in real-time under hard and soft constraintsPartner with industry and academia to validate the developed models and control strategyWork multi-functionally with internal teams to efficiently implement the designed control strategy Present findings and innovations at internal meetings and external scientific conferences
