Please note that the contract is fixed to 24 months

This is your role:You research and develop simulation techniques for switching devices for medium voltage applications as a key player for the digital twin agenda of SiemensYou create models for dynamic structural systemsYou validate these models with experiments on real prototypes in our accredited test labsYou publish your research results internally and externallyWithin our company, you operate above department boundaries and collaborate with internal and external partners, research institutes and universitiesYou transfer your academic knowledge into industrial environmentsWhat you need to make real what matters.You have an excellent Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or in a related fieldYou have a sound knowledge of switching devices, circuit breakers, multi body systems etc.You have strong abilities in the fields of numerical simulation for dynamic structural mechanics and multi body simulations incl. implicit/explicit based solver methodsYou are potentially trained in the use of simulation software, e.g. Siemens NX, RecurdynYou have excellent knowledge in English, written and spoken. German is a plus.Your personality is characterized by creativity, strong analytical skills, result and target orientation, high quality standards, and team play
