Postdoctoral Associate **Required Qualifications:** (as evidenced by an attached resume) Doctoral Degree (foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field in hand to the start of the appointment. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experimental expertise with quantum photonics with 2D materials, quantum optics, spontaneous parametric down-conversion, nonlinear optics, micro-photoluminescence, photon-correlation measurement, and/or ultrafast dynamics is preferred. **Brief Description of Duties:** The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Jie Gao (https://me.stonybrook.edu/people/faculty/Gao\_Jie.php) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (https://me.stonybrook.edu/) . The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University. ● Conduct experiment and/or theoretical work in the research areas. ● Collect and analyze data. ● Write manuscripts for publications in scientific journals and prepare project reports. ● Maintain lab and lab equipment, ordering supplies as needed. ● Other duties as assigned. **Special Notes:** The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
