Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate in the Clinical and Affective Neuroscience Lab (Lab Director: David Zald, PhD), housed within the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) and the RWJMS Department of Psychiatry. The Clinical and Affective Neuroscience Lab https://sites.rutgers.edu/canl/ conducts behavioral and neuroimaging studies on transdiagnostic features of psychopathology and their genetic and neural correlates. Current studies examine aspects of decision-making, motivation and the ability to resist urges in multiple disorders including, externalizing disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Additional studies examine the correlates of between blood brain barrier functioning as assessed by MRI in neuropsychiatric illness.

Responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Associate include assisting in designing, executing, analyzing and communicating the results of NIMH and NIAAA funded research studies. Skills related to the analysis of ecological momentary assessment and/or functional neuroimaging data are particularly desirable for this position.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Perform data analyses related to experience sampling, neuroimaging or behavioral data. Take a lead role in communicating the results of research studies through scientific journal articles and conference presentations. Assist in developing and adapting cognitive neuroscience studies. Work with the research team to ensure compliance with the quality standards of the research lab. Assist in providing overall study monitoring and protocol compliance per GCP guidelines, HIPAA, IRB and institutional and sponsor guidelines. Keep detailed records of procedures and experiments. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
