Postdoctoral Associate (Mitra)

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available at the Center of Quantum Phenomena, Department of Physics, New York University under the supervision of Professor Aditi Mitra.The position will broadly involve the study of non-equilibrium and topological states of matter. There are opportunities to develop collaborations with neighboring institutions in the NY metropolitan area. Candidates for the position must have a Doctorate degree in Physics or a related discipline. Candidates should submit a CV, a research statement, and arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be uploaded on Interfolio.

The start date of the position is September 1, 2025, but earlier or later start dates are also possible. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of a second and a third year subject to performance and continued funding.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $68,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
