A full-time Postdoctoral Associate is sought for the lab of Dr. Jia-Ray Yu at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion, located at Children’s National Research & Innovation Campus (CNRIC) in Washington, DC. The Yu lab studies the fundamental mechanisms underlying epigenetic regulation in human cancers. We use a range of tools and techniques include advanced molecular biology, biochemistry, reconstituted systems, stem cell cultures, and genomic sequencing. In addition to our research, we are actively engaged with the surrounding community through outreach programs. We seek a qualified individual to work across multiple projects in the lab to standardize our cell culture protocols and methods in order to investigate chromatin mechanisms in stem cells and cancers. This individual will also train new lab members in appropriate methodology and laboratory technique as needed as well as be knowledgeable about all equipment and resources within the lab. This position will be expected to collaboratively work within the lab and also with external collaborators to the lab.
