JOB DESCRIPTION:
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct child and adolescent psychological assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy via telehealth. The fellow will also coordinate treatment within a multidisciplinary environment, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to conduct, report or present research under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position and is not expected to be a permanent position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Conduct psychological assessments and develop psychological treatment plans
• Carry out evidence-based psychotherapy visits with youth and families
• Complete clinical documentation for all services provided
• Respond effectively to direction and feedback provided by clinical supervisors
• Communicate with other members of the treatment team to coordinate care
• Contribute to research projects via study design, data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation, or presentation of data at meetings
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Ability to provide clinical services via telehealth
• Knowledge of basic theory and concepts in cognitive and behavioral therapy
• Ability to assess and diagnose common psychological problems and psychiatric diagnoses experienced by youth and families
• Writing skills for clinical documentation, research protocols and reports, journal manuscripts, and funding applications
• Mentoring and teaching skills for interaction with research associates and medical students, residents, and fellows
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD in psychology (clinical, counseling, or school psychology)
Completion of an APA-accredited PhD program with degree conferred prior to fellow start date.
Completion of an APA-approved internship in child and adolescent clinical/counseling or pediatric psychology.
SALARY:
Salary commensurate with experience
