Postdoctoral Fellow, Neurology

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Plan and perform experiments independently Prepare lab reports Write protocol Interacts with graduate students Capable of presenting data at meeting Independently develop and execute complex experimental designs within ongoing projects Familiarity with “omics” techniques and methodologies. Skills in large data set analysis highly desirable Good knowledge of basic and advanced biochemical and molecular biology techniques Collect, quality control and prepare data for interpretation and discussion Prepare research manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed scientific journals Present results at national and international conferences

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in biomedical sciences Scientific research experience.

This is a T32 Grant-Applicants must be a permanent US resident.

SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
