Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research.
Postdoctoral Fellow opportunity in Dr. Tijana Jovanovic-Talisman's lab. Explore biological nanoparticles, specifically extracellular vesicles (EVs), for groundbreaking minimally invasive diagnostics. Uncover disease-specific molecules within EVs using cell biology and super-resolution microscopy. Contribute to developing a revolutionary platform for precision medicine diagnoses. For more information on Dr. Talisman’s research, please visit here.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Purify and manipulate EVs from cultured cells and plasma.Conduct imaging experiments using single molecule localization microscopy.Complete data analysis to characterize the molecular content of extracellular vesicles.Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline with less than 3 years of postdoctoral training.Experience in quantitative microscopy and cell biology.Ability to carry out independent research and prepare manuscripts for publication.Proficiency in super-resolution microscopy, extracellular vesicles, and MATLAB programming is preferred.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindsetCity of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
