Postdoctoral Fellow - Genitourinary Medical Oncology

A postdoctoral position focused on clinical annotation, data analysis and interpretation in non-prostate genitourinary malignancies. The position will support several ongoing projects including a renal cell carcinoma bone metastases project, projects in rare subtypes of bladder cancer, and adrenal cancer. The position will be expected to help build an annotated dataset of patients with germ cell tumors. The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to contribute to the initiation of novel projects.
The successful candidate must be well organized, contribute to team science efforts, work well in a team environment, generate, analyze, interpret, and present data. Computer skills are critical including clinical annotation, use of graphic and statistical programs with ability to generate tables, figures, posters and manuscripts. The employee should provide scientific expertise and organizational skills in getting involved in various research projects involving human subject research. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating with multiple collaborators. The candidate will be expected to read, write and edit manuscripts and reports, as well as help with grant writing.
The position will clinically annotate, analyze, interpret, present and publish multiple efforts focused on non-prostate genitourinary malignancies. These efforts will include retrospective studies, ongoing peer reviewed funded projects in renal cell carcinoma bone
metastases, and ongoing clinical trials. The position will focus on rare genitourinary tumors including bladder cancer variants with Dr.
Alhalabi, adrenal cancer (Dr. Campbell) and germ cell projects with Dr. Campbell and Dr. Johns.
**LEARNING OBJECTIVES**
- Optimize clinical annotation in patients with locally advanced and metastatic genitourinary cancers.
- Maintain renal cell carcinoma bone metastases dataset.
- Build germ cell tumor dataset.
- Maintain rare bladder variant datasets.
- Develop and submit abstracts for major academic meetings.
- Create poster presentations.
- Write manuscripts for peer reviewed journals.
**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS**
We are looking for highly self-motivated candidates with a recent MD, DO, or MBBS or equivalent degree, to enthusiastically partner on multiple initiatives with the goal of presenting and publishing multiple high impact efforts.
-Prefer candidate to have knowledge and expertise working with MS Excel, advanced statistical software, MS PowerPoint.
-Prefer patient with clinical expertise in clinical annotation.
-Prefer candidate to have experience with previous publications.
-Prefer candidate to have experience with statistical design and analysis.
-Prefer candidate to have experience with computational programming with RStudio experience.
**POSITION INFORMATION**
