Our goal is for Mount Sinai to become an anti-racist health care and learning institution that intentionally addresses structural racism.? **Responsibilities** Details of Research Project: Your anticipated duties will include: + Cell Line Engineering: Generate and maintain mammalian cell lines expressing Mx1 proteins from different species and various Mx1 variants + Functional Assays: Perform confocal imaging, proteomic assays, and knockdown/knockout experiments to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of action of different Mx1 proteins. + Viral Susceptibility Testing: Assess how Mx1 proteins from different species influence susceptibility to viral infections and determine their effects in the absence of infection. + In Vivo Models: Analyze the antiviral functions of Mx1 using advanced animal models, such as human Mx1-knockin mice and GFP-Mx1 mice.
