What we want
The postdoctoral researcher will be working on developing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations for optimization and control of power systems. The postdoc will assist in writing research proposals, attending regular meetings with the research team, and publishing research articles in high-quality journals. As a postdoctoral researcher, they can perform independent research or collaborate on a multi-scholar research initiative, all while under the general direction of a principal researcher.

Required Education and Experience:
+ Appropriate PhD
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
+ Ability to develop simulation models using Matlab and Python
+ Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Preferred PhD in engineering, applied mathematics, or computer science.
+ Previous Postdoctoral experience
+ Strong familiarity with optimization and control theories.
+ Extensive experience in power system research.
+ Experience in performing original research and publishing high-quality research papers.
+ Experience in assisting proposal writing to funding agencies.
+ Ability to develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations
Responsibilities:
+ Research - Coordinate and work on the modeling, control, and optimization of on interactive-energy system.
+ Writing - Prepare and submit reports, papers, and proposals with TAMUG faculty.
+ Presenting - Prepare and present slides related to research outcomes.
