Job Summary
The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is looking to fill a Postdoctoral Researcher Position.
Essential Functions
Carry out molecular and cell biological studies on malaria parasites. These would involve construction of vectors to transfect malaria parasites using the CRISPR-Cas9 technology as well as application of conditional expression technology. Conduct biochemical assays to measure physiological consequences antimalarial drug treatment on parasites. Additional studies to be conducted as per directions by the PI, Dr. Akhil B. Vaidya.Required Qualifications
Minimum of PhD or Doctorate in Microbiology or related field. Minimum of 1 year experience.Physical Demands

This position is classified as a Full time Exempt with a grade of K [$54,630.00- $81,940.00]. The offered pay is dependent upon internal equity and the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and experience.
