Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on two interdisciplinary research projects on transportation, environment, and health. The candidate is expected to work on data integration and fusion, develop theoretical and mathematical models, and empirically test those models with integrated and fused data. Development of data-serving APIs is also part of the work plan and duties for the candidate. The candidate will play a vital role in supporting the PI leading/managing a team of graduate and undergraduate research assistants towards project tasks, manuscripts preparation, drafting reports and quarterly updates, and presentations of project progress/main findings at meetings, conferences, and workshops. Teaching opportunities can be arranged if the candidate desires. Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must have: A PhD degree in transportation engineering. Demonstrated experience in transportation data analysis, network modeling, dynamic traffic assignment and simulation. Demonstrated experience in programming and statistical analysis platforms such as Python, R, and Java. Good communication skills Strong academic records in terms of publications, research project experiences, etc.
The individual must be highly motivated with strong written and oral communication skills.
