IntelliBridge is looking for a skilled PostgresSQL developer.  The PostgresSQL developer must be able to build efficient APIs and also manipulate datasets when required. They will sustain the database code in the form of procedures, queries, views, and scripts. They must have strong technical capabilities and good knowledge of the coding languages commonly used in ETL development, such as Linux, Java, SQL, XML. Familiarity with data warehouse architecture techniques is also needed. Prefer PostgresSQL developers with extensive experience in solving complex technical problems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities: 

Design, plan, implement, test, and administer PostgresSQL databases, including security, access, and documentation.Manage and administer complex information technology systems to ensure system design and operation meets business needs.Perform daily administrative tasks, including backup/recovery, performance optimization, space management, DB health, monitoring event logs, and troubleshooting to maintain multiple databases in support of client needs.Maintain and modify existing data sets, data loads, documentation, policies, procedures, and other data solutions.Create, design, and develop data models for multiple applications.Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from multiple applications in Data Warehouse.Carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis.Proactively monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.Design, implement and maintain analytics and business intelligence platform architecture for Data Warehouse.Perform the design and extension of data marks, meta data, and data models.Prepare various code designs and ensure efficient implementation of the same.Evaluate all codes and ensure the quality of all project deliverables.Write automation scripts to provision and manage PostgresSQL.Create and maintain documentation, troubleshoot playbooks, and test failover and recovery plans.Must have a solid understanding of development, testing and integration methodologies.

Must Haves:

Minimum 6 years of hands-on information technology implementation experience.  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent.   Must be able to attain a Public Trust Clearance.Extensive knowledge of coding languages, including Linux, Java, XML, and SQL.Understanding of BI and Reporting Platforms along with industry trends and direction in BI/reporting.Knowledge of current and emerging IT (Information Technology) products, services, and processes.Knowledge of Source Control and Project Management tools like JIRA.Broad understanding of programming logic concepts and application analysis and design techniques. Proficiency in warehousing architecture techniques.Experience in SQL development and performance tuning.Expertise with postgresSQL system metrics and optimization strategies.Familiarity with system-level metrics and practical use of common Linux utilities.Proficiency in one of the following scripting languages: Python, Perl, Bash.Experienced in AWS Cloud, data analysis/data science and experience with GIT and version control.Experienced with PostgreSQL & PostgreSQL Architecture.Understanding of basic Database Fundamentals: Multi-version control, Concurrency, Transactions, Indexing, Locking.Ability to Independently Monitor and Administer databases.Creation & managing PostgreSQL Schema, Tables, Table spaces and Users, Roles & Groups.PostgreSQL Index Management, Partitioning and System Catalogs.Performance tuning, Query tuning by generating and explaining plan for SQL queries.Expert in Backup & Recovery including Pg dump, setting up WAL archiving, Point in time recovery.Knowledge of PG Admin and other PostgreSQL tools and utilities.Knowledge on High Availability, Streaming Replication, Replication Failover, Repmgr, Barman, PG bouncer and PG pathman.Monitoring Alert Log, Scheduled Jobs, and Troubleshooting Database ProblemsClear communication skills.Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.Professional written and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to optimize code for the best possible outcome.Experience creating code to client's personalized needs and requirements.Ability to work effectively in collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces.
