General Function
The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities.
Description of Primary Duties
Teach General Education mathematics courses MTH 130 Contemporary Math, MTH 134 Algebraic Reasoning & Modeling, MTH 136 Precalculus I, prerequisite courses in intermediate algebra, co-requisite courses, other courses as needed, and perform limited service.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required.
Additional Qualifications
Required qualifications: Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (the latter with at least 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics course work), completed by August 11, 2025. Documented experience teaching mathematics courses at the university level including experience working with various learning styles and educational backgrounds, as well as have experience with classroom technology.
