JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all pots and pans.
Responsible of washing China, glassware, silverware, mopping and sweeping floors, and keeping their work area clean and organized.
Responsible of washing floormats, speed racks, queenmarys, kettles, roasting pans, dollies, etc. Responsible for re-stocking the buffet lines with ice, China, flatware, and glassware.
Responsible for polishing all silver equipment as needed/or directed.
Responsible for emptying trash cans and keeping the loading dock clean.
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the floors as directed by the supervisor.
Responsible for the cleanliness of all walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins and back hallways.
Will help with banquet dish ups as needed or directed by his/her supervisor.
The kitchen worker will adhere to all Health department, sanitation and safety regulations as required by the company

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Follows all applicable safety precautions.
Ensures that all kitchen trash is removed from the area and disposed of properly.
Is always appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.
Notifies department management of needed repair work in the kitchen area.
Completes all general cleaning functions requiring ladder access.
Maintains their assigned kitchen area in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.
Ensures that food service supplies are properly maintained in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.
Take garbage, trash, and recyclables from kitchen areas to disposal sites.
Clean kitchen loading/receiving dock with power wash, daily.
Complete power washing of equipment, outdoors.
Complete sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
Assist other stewarding employees in their duties with regard to kitchen maintenance as time permits.
Obtain kitchen maintenance supplies needed from storage.
Assist in the organization of kitchen maintenance supply storage areas.
Additional related duties as requested by department management
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Must have neat and clean appearance.
Previous experience as hotel/restaurant dishwasher or in janitorial/cleaning position.
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly and timely.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Able to push, pull, carry or lift to 50lbs repetitively throughout the workday.
Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously for duration of shift.
The physical ability to climb stairs, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
The physical ability to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders with both arms.
The physical ability to use both hands for continuous grasping.
The physical ability to tolerate any required personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, safety goggles, and other protective equipment deemed appropriate on a continuous basis.
Ability to safely operate motorized equipment
Attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule
Communicate verbally, clearly and articulately.
Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, and other instructions.
Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
