Position Description

2PM - 10PM

Responsible for activities pertaining to the efficient and safe operation of the powder paint system in order to produce quality finished products.

Responsible for the startup and shutdown procedures on all equipment according to published procedures. Works closely with quality and engineering to ensure paint conformance to customer specifications. Perform daily lab procedures for paint and pretreatment testing. Performs system monitoring, operation, equipment/process adjustments, paint and chemical inventories, perform filter maintenance. Perform paint quality inspections per process specifications. Perform troubleshooting and monitoring of equipment and conveyor system. Monitor and manage environmental waste streams.  Perform basic preventative maintenance functions. Safe operation may require use of specific Personal Protective Equipment such as but not limited to PAPR, tyvex suit, safety glasses, safety shoes including rubber overshoes.  Powder paint system will include the use of high temp / high pressure chemical manual wash. May be required to work and/or support maintenance as necessary. Maintain a 5S work environment. Some computer skills may be required. Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a HS diploma or GED
