Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect with extensive experience in Power BI implementation to design and implement Power BI within the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solution architecture, security, data and content governance, and information security. This role requires a deep understanding of Power BI architecture and best practices, reporting tools, query languages, and experience in establishing a Center of Excellence and rolling out an adoption model.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the implementation of Power BI solutions, ensuring robust security and governance
• Architect and design solutions that meet business requirements and infosec standards
• Establish and maintain a Center of Excellence for reporting tools
• Develop and roll out an adoption model for Power BI
• Conduct proof of concept (PoC) for new solutions and functionalities requested by business users
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery
• Apply knowledge of query languages and ETL processes to support data integration and reporting needs (Fabric Data Flows experience desired)
• Track activities using Jira
• Develop and maintain organized and secure connections from Power BI to SQL databases, Redshift, ServiceNow, Excel files (local, BOX, and OneDrive)
• Define development patterns and data source usage guidelines and document them for user reference
• Perform administration activities (configuration, monitoring, configuring logs, audit reports, security, data sources, data gateways)

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Developer/Architect
• Extensive knowledge of reporting tools and solution architecture
• Strong expertise in security, data and content governance, and information security
• Experience with Power BI and Power BI Service (Tableau experience is a plus)
• Experience in Microsoft Fabric service (in addition to Power BI Service) is a plus
• Proficiency in query languages and ETL processes
• Familiarity with Jira for tracking and managing stories
• Experience with SQL development, Redshift, and ServiceNow
• Experience with Fabric Data Flows desired
• Industry-specific experience is a plus (Insurance, Finance)
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) strongly preferred
