Power BI Developer

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration.  As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports, leveraging data analytics skills to translate business needs into actionable insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data visualization solutions align with business objectives and drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Development: 

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. Create custom visualizations and reports tailored to business unit requirements. Develop and manage data models, including data import, transformation, and aggregation.

Data Analytics:

Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Perform data cleaning, validation, and manipulation to ensure accuracy and consistency. Use statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.

Collaboration and Support:

Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Provide support and training to end-users on Power BI features and report functionalities. Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.

Documentation and Best Practices:

Document development processes, data sources, and reporting methodologies. Implement best practices for data visualization and reporting to ensure clarity and usability. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, and instructions. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of eight years of similar experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, preferred.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Proven experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards. Basic understanding of data analytics, including data cleaning, statistical analysis, and data interpretation. Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query. Familiarity with SQL and basic database concepts. Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices. Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus. Understanding of advanced analytics concepts and techniques. Certification in Power BI or related data analytics fields is an advantage.
