HRIS and Power BI Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HRIS and Power BI Support Specialist to support our HR team with data cleanup, system support, and reporting initiatives. This role will focus on HRIS responsibilities and data integrity projects while also maintaining and enhancing the HR Power BI dashboard. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DAX and SQL to support advanced reporting and data analysis needs. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across HR, IT, and other business units to ensure the smooth operation of HR systems and data reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide HRIS support for system issues, technical troubleshooting, and data cleanup initiatives.Resolve complex HRIS issues with a customer-focused approach.Participate in the design, configuration, and administration of HRIS processes, including security and business workflows.Collaborate with IT and HR teams on system enhancements, process improvements, and data governance.Support compliance processes such as I-9 verification and onboarding.Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR systems and processes.Conduct testing, documentation, and auditing of HRIS processes.Maintain and audit user security roles in accordance with internal policies.Provide access to HR data and tools for ad hoc and routine reporting needs.Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, ensuring quarterly updates and data accuracy.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.Migrate internal reports to Power BI, creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.Utilize DAX and SQL to develop complex measures, queries, and data models for reporting.Provide ad hoc HR analysis and reporting support using Power BI, DAX, and SQL.Participate in HR initiatives such as employee events and surveys.

Essential Skills & Experience

2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, including HRIS support.Minimum 2 years of experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred; Workday a plus).Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development.Proficiency in DAX for creating calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming HR data from various sources.Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.Experience with HRIS data entry and administrative tasks.Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset.Ability to make timely, effective decisions and contribute to team goals.Reflective and feedback-oriented approach to continuous improvement.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
