JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Greystar is a dynamic organization focused on leveraging data-driven insights to improve business outcomes. We are seeking a skilled Power BI Reporting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data visualization, experienced in Power BI, and have a deep understanding of DAX, Power Query, and building data models/relationships.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide insights to drive business decisions.Create and optimize DAX measures and Power Query scripts to ensure accurate and efficient data transformation and calculations.Build and maintain relationships within the data model, ensuring consistency and integrity across datasets.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights through visualizations.Leverage various methods to import and integrate external data sources into Power BI, including API connections, dataflows, and queries that consolidate Excel extracts.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PowerBI reports and data models.Stay current with Power BI updates, new features, and best practices to ensure the optimal performance of reports and dashboards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with Power BI, including advanced data visualization techniques and dashboard creation.Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns, measures, and custom tables.Proficient in Power Query for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, including data cleansing and transformation.Experience in building and managing data models, including creating and maintaining relationships between tables.Ability to integrate and work with API connections, dataflows, and queries that consolidate Excel extracts in Power BI.Knowledge of SQL & Power Automate is a plus, but not required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft products, such as PowerPoint, to present complex financial and operational data in a polished and engaging format for senior leaders.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
