POWER Engineers, Inc., a multi-national consulting firm of over 3000 employees, is seeking a Project Manager with experience in transmission and distribution projects for our Power Delivery Project Management team. POWER is expanding our capabilities in order to keep pace with our customers’ growing and evolving needs, which presents an excellent opportunity for a self-starter looking for an exciting career change. This position is posted in northern New England area with the potential to work remotely. The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients. Specific responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships Manage project status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project in your portfolio Collaborate with project design teams Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in project status meetings with project teams and clients, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take a leading role in building and maintaining client relationships Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other divisions within POWER, based on the nature of any particular project Travel to client and Company locations periodically Demonstrated Project Management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget, and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client relationship development, and project presentations Required Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required-engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline Minimum of five (5) years of work experience Minimum of three (3) years of relevant project management experience or equivalent work experience Relevant experience includes project management and/or lead engineer experience on small- to medium-scale Transmission and Distribution projects Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools General understanding of transmission systems Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility and/or consulting setting Desired Education/Experience Five (5) + years of project management experience preferred Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region Desire to obtain Professional Engineering registration or PMP certification within 2 years of employment Experience in project controls preferred.

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $90k - $110k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
