HDR is looking for a Power Delivery Section Manager to join our growing Power Delivery team in Illinois/Indiana.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Power Delivery Section Manager include technical leadership and responsibility for the operational management, program growth, and oversight of a production section including project delivery, staffing, recruiting, quality, utilization, workload forecasting, work-sharing, safety, morale, supervision, interface with local, regional, and national leaders, and the general direction of the section to ensure that the operations expectations are met.
Specific duties include:
Responsible for growing, monitoring, and participating in the execution of HDR’s portfolio of Power Delivery services in the area.Provide technical leadership/project management to ensure projects have appropriate staff and that the quality program is implemented effectively.Coordinate closely with the IL/IN Resources’ Business Group Manager, Power Delivery Regional Practice Leader, and Power Business Development Leader, to align resources and technical expertise with workload and marketing efforts to deliver for the clients.Drive client growth, locally and regionally, including recruiting and hiring staff to support and implement business development and marketing plans.Coordinate with local operations, section managers in other offices, and business group leadership to support work-sharing efforts.Manage workload and utilizations in the section to meet the operating goals of the Areas.Complete timely reporting to local operations and business group leadership as required and maintain up to date and accurate workload and utilization forecasting per direction from leadership.Responsible for understanding all applicable safety policies and procedures and ensuring that they are understood and followed, in close coordination with the Office Safety Coordinator.Administer performance reviews and staff evaluations of direct reports.Monitor and manage staff morale in the section and provide leadership to promote a positive work environment.Perform client management, project management and/or technical support activities.Lead and motivate the staff in the section to strive to meet operational goals.Participate in industry associations as a representative of HDR.Attend industry conferences as a representative of HDR.LI-BC1
