Job Description Summary

AAM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer capable of acting in the role of Senior Electrical Engineer upon projects in the automotive driveline, powertrain, and electrification spaces. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be primarily responsible for leading the electrification product development, support and product maintenance. The engineer should also interface with OEMs or contractors to figure out customer requirement, answer RFQ and set requirement for contracting work.

Job Description

Must have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or universityMinimum of 10 years experience in Power distribution system.Knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution including transformers, switchgear, and breaker operation, design and maintenance.Design and coordinate maintenance of electrical utilities and associated power distribution equipmentPower system and power quality analysis to include bonding and groundingManage power distribution projects and Preventive maintenance activities by in-house associates and/or contractor.Perform yearly audit to all AAM facilities to ensure maintenance to critical facilities equipment is performed as required.Ensure compliance with Government, State, and Local regulations and codesRelatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complexMedium level of interpersonal skills to work with othersAbility to interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsProvide direction and technical assistance to all assigned AAM facilities for all Power Distribution and Energy related itemsAssist AAM facilities in case of emergency to ensure minimum impact to production and personnel safety. Experience in the development and implementation of energy projects which reduce consumption of energy to goals in a manufacturing environment.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.Proficient in power monitoring software such as PowerlogicTravel to local, out of states and international sites as requiredComply with special projects and assignments that are not necessarily within the normal realm of responsibility
