As a Senior Power Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our team working on high-impact projects in Digital and RF programs, helping design power systems that meet the rigorous standards of the industry.

The Work

As a Senior Power Engineer, you'll provide vital technical support for our Digital and RF programs, focusing on power supply design, power systems testing, and power subsystems. You'll be responsible for designing power circuits, power distribution, and power conversion to meet system requirements. Your role will also involve developing and executing power test procedures and writing detailed reports (MIL STD 704). Additionally, you'll work closely with suppliers, reviewing qualification data, and verifying power equipment, including transformers, power converters, and more, to ensure compliance with our high standards.

This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years or more of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
-Professional working knowledge of Analog Circuits, design and analysis.
-Familiarity and knowledge of Power Systems design
-Experience with Lab Equipment - O-Scopes, DVMs, AC/DC Power supplies etc.
-Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security clearance at the Secret level (will require US Citizenship).
Desired Skills:
-PSPICE and/or LTSPICE tool Experience.
-Power System Simulation and Modeling Experience - PSIM
-AC/DC and DC/DC Converter Design Experience
-Familiarity with EMC and Electrical Safety Standards.
-Experience working with Power filter/power quality/EMI
-Harmonic distortion, ripple, noise.
-Design for pulsed load and high power applications
-Experience utilizing circuit design, component layout, board layout and schematics.
-Experience using GaN, and SiC components
-Earned value management/work package management
-Knowledge of 3U/6U pluggable power supplies
-Able to work efficiently in a diverse team environment.
-Demonstrated ability to act independently
-Shown problem solving and conflict resolution skills
-Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written/verbal skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
