Your Impact
Reports to Task Order Manager, Deputy Task Order Manager, or Utilities Manager.Oversees power production and distribution operations, ensuring electrical efficiency, safety, and proper documentation.Attends meetings and provides status reports to leadership on power systems.Performs and assists with inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of generator sets, control systems, and supporting equipment.Maintains and repairs electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary systems in power generation facilities (5MW+), including MV switchgear and SCADA/PLC controls.Inspects and tests fuel distribution systems; manages fuel inventory and reporting.Ensures compliance with safety policies (OSHA/NFPA), conducts hazard training, and oversees employee conduct.Coordinates environmental testing, permitting, and regulatory compliance.Supervises and schedules multi-skilled teams, reviews performance, implements training, and addresses grievances.Maintains technical records and library; approves timesheets.Responsible for facility tools, communications, risk management, and departmental meetings.Responds to emergencies, diagnoses issues, and ensures timely corrective actions.Submits required documentation and attends safety meetings as per company policy.Ensures repairs and maintenance meet quality and manufacturer standards.Accountable for staff, equipment, and FMC/NMC status.Completes EHS training and achieves competency designations as required.Operates within guidelines provided by all relevant authorities.Conducts internal audits for safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.Prepares and reviews operational reports for accuracy and transparency.Enforces training, safety standards, policies, and work ethics.Assists in plant operations, genset synchronization, and electrical distribution maintenance as needed.Supports procurement activities and parts acquisition with Prime Contractor.Attends OEM-specific equipment training as necessary.Ensures quality work and compliance from less experienced staff.Duties involve outdoor work in tropical conditions; ability to work overhead for extended periods is required.Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.Required Qualifications
Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.Must be able to speak, read and write English fluentlyMust maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment dateMust maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization. Must satisfy medical requirements for USACE prior to OCONUS mobilization. Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.Additional Required Qualification
CAC eligibility required.Minimum 3 years’ experience managing, inspecting, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and repairing multi-diesel generator facilities (5–10Mw+), including at least 2 years in contingency settings.Thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical power systems, including diesel generators, controls (e.g., PULSE SCADA), switchgear, relays, substations, cables, transformers, RMUs, etc.Experienced in inspecting, testing, and repairing components such as generators, transformers, transfer switches, switchgear, PLC controls, and fuel systems.Able to follow troubleshooting steps and provide detailed feedback.Capable of following specific instructions and established procedures from supervisors.Competent in resolving issues per instructions and protocols for power production/distribution.Experienced in prime power O&M services.Must submit training certificates in Fundamentals of Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E) completed within the past year.Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety practices, and skills for installation and maintenance of generator systems.Certified in First Aid & CPR; able to conduct electrical rescue.Familiar with Lockout/Tagout procedures.Experience in international environments, working with expatriates or US military.Current training and knowledge of industrial safety, OSHA and NFPA70E compliance, PPE, and lockout/tagout for all system types.Proficient in reading and applying information from technical manuals and documentation.Ability to take corrective action based on data and equipment checks.Understanding of startup, shutdown, and maintenance procedures for power generation equipment.Skilled in use of hand/power tools, shop equipment, and measuring devices.Experienced collaborating with technical staff and leading teams of 15+ personnel.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with managers, subcontractors, military representatives, and officials.Physically capable of lifting, climbing, crawling, and outdoor work within safety limits.Knowledgeable in proper PPE use.Oral and written skills sufficient for reporting and evaluations.Willing to provide certificates and attend further training.Role Characteristics
