Power Generation Workshop Technician - Level I
**DESCRIPTION** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Execute repairs and rebuilds on power generation products in a service workshop under supervision. + Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and scheduled maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. + Disassemble power generation equipment. + Assist with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms via handwritten forms or business system input screens. + Complete training in line with skill and business requirements. + Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to your supervisor. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Skills and Competencies:** **Communicates Effectively:** Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. **Ensures Accountability:** Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments. **Nimble Learning:** Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder. **Plans and Aligns:** Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. **Health and Safety Fundamentals:** Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors. **Diagnostics Application:** Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plans and uses specialized tools to diagnose and complete repairs. **Electronic Service Tool Application:** Utilizes appropriate electronic tools to maintain products or diagnose and troubleshoot issues. **Power Generation Systems Knowledge:** Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures. **Product Repair and Maintenance:** Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines. **Service Documentation:** Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information; documents required information in the service management system. **Technical Escalation:** Elevates issues to a higher level of expertise and captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database. **Values Differences:** Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you will need the following: + **Education:** Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution. Apprentice Trained Power Generation/Electrical Technician preferred. + **Licenses/Certifications:** Current relevant electrical certification. Locally valid driving permit preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. + **Experience:** Minimal level of workshop-related experience required. Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
