Other duties may include but are not limited to. Moving furniture and light carpenter duties, hanging shelves, pictures etc. Assists Facilities Mechanics III, IV and Lead as directed. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS None Required CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver's License EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 years of related work or education in a related field SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Understands how a wide variety of mechanical and electrical components function. Ability to operate equipment and the ability to function as a member of a team. Able to install/maintain plumbing systems and associated systems. Able to work on a variety of hospital equipment including medical air equipment. Ability to read blueprints. Familiarity with basic building, state, accessibility and ADA code requirements. Essential Functions: + Performs all essential job functions of Maintenance Mechanic I. + Identifies and corrects equipment malfunction in emergency situations, power failure, water leaks, etc. + Identifies and corrects mechanical and minor electrical deficiencies.
