Power Platform Developer
Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Platform Developer to join a client team based in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business applications utilizing Microsoft Power Platform tools. This includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and other related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for using low-code/no-code platforms and possess a strong understanding of business process optimization, user-centered design principles, and data integration. Key Responsibilities: + Application Development: + Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to solve critical business challenges. + Build data connections and integrations with internal and external systems using Power Automate and other data integration tools. + Dashboard & Reporting Solutions: + Develop intuitive, interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable business insights. + Maintain and optimize existing Power BI dashboards to meet evolving business needs. + Business Process Automation: + Leverage Power Automate to automate workflows and processes, reducing manual efforts and increasing productivity. + Troubleshoot workflows and recommend areas for improved efficiency and automation. + Collaboration & Support: + Collaborate with business users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide ongoing support for developed solutions. + Train team members and end-users on applications and provide detailed documentation for solutions built. + Platform Maintenance: + Ensure data integrity and security protocols are followed when designing applications. + Keep up-to-date with the latest features and updates from the Microsoft Power Platform and incorporate best practices into solutions. Requirements Qualifications: + Core Competencies: + Proven experience developing applications or automating workflows using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. + Strong understanding of data modeling, relational databases (e.g., MS SQL), and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. + Hands-on experience with API calls, custom connectors, and integrating Power Platform tools with other business applications (e.g., Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Office 365, etc.). + Technical Skills: + In-depth knowledge of Power Platform components, licensing models, and system configurations. + Familiarity with languages like JavaScript, JSON, and understanding HTML/CSS for app customization. + Experience with Dataverse or a strong understanding of similar data models. + Soft Skills: + Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing business requirements. + Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams. + Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines. + Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft’s Power Platform or similar low-code platforms. + Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate) are a strong plus. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. + Previous work in the Finance, Logistics, or Healthcare industries (optional based on the hiring client's sector). + Knowledge of AI Builder, RPA components, or advanced Power BI capabilities like Row-Level Security.
