Job Description

Position Overview

As a Power Scheduler, you will be responsible for submitting/verifying bids & offers, monitoring, and providing analysis for Invenergy’s wind, solar, energy storage, and natural gas generation fleet.

Responsibilities

Bidding projects into power markets and making dispatch communications to internal and external stakeholdersAnalyzing market data to look for opportunities in the markets and optimize project valueWork closely with Day Ahead Power Traders and Gas Trading Manager to ensure proper DA (Day Ahead) to RT (Real Time) handoffAssisting others in 24-hour control center with monitoring Invenergy's Fleet, outage scheduling, and communications with power markets, off-takers, and generating sitesMaintain detailed records regarding real-time desk operations to help ensure complianceTravel as needed for business needs but not expected to exceed 10%Position will be on a rotating shift that will require the person to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in a field that demonstrates analytical skills OR a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experienceAbility to complete and maintain ISO-required certifications and trainingEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentProblem solving and critical thinkingCertified PJM Generation Dispatcher and/or NERC CertifiedAbility to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlinesExperience with computer programs, such as Excel, PI, PowerBI, Python, and SQL a plusExperience in power markets such as ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, SPP, or MISO a plusAbility to speak Spanish
