Summary
This individual is responsible for the coordination, completion and follow-up of periodic device checks on all patients enrolled in the pacemaker/ICD clinic via office visits, remote checks, and/or trans-telephonic monitoring. Implements patient education and patient follow-up for all device implant patients. Serves as a resource to other staff personnel inquiring about pacemaker and ICD information. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, significant others and all healthcare team members.
Education
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification
Must hold a current Indiana Registered Nurse license. CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred. Prefer certification through Heart Rhythm Society.
Experience
Must have two years experience in nursing, preferably with a cardiology background.
Other Qualifications
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must exhibit proficiency with computers including skills with electronic medical records.
