Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Under direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities includes air compressor maintenance and repair, basic HVAC maintenance, electrical installation, basic plumbing systems, and other general maintenance throughout the Continental Automotive plant. Further responsibilities include warehouse automation maintenance and repair, as well as parts washer maintenance. Must be willing to work flexible shifts and be subject to overtime. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required. Must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all customer rules, safety procedures, and policies. Tobacco free facility.
Essential Duties:
A Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform all duties per plant safety guidelines. The key focus of this position is to keep operations running smoothly, perform various preventive maintenance tasks, and carryout special projects deemed as plant goals for the overall plant operation.
Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters Be a team player with a positive attitude Plumbing: Installation/Repair of PVC piping, clearing drains, repairing leaks Electrical: Installation/Repair of industrial hardware per National Electrical Code Repair and maintain air compressors – 8 bar & 200 bar systems. Ability to work independently Have a complete set of basic hand tools Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces Perform work at heightsPreferred experience:
2+ years facilities maintenance experience Air compressor experience preferred. Ability to read electrical schematics & troubleshoot. Fire suppression system experience a plus. Electronics: interpret schematics & basic troubleshooting skills – a plus. Carpentry, concrete work, and/or heavy equipment operator experience.Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
