The People Planning Operations (PPO) team designs, implements, and supports workforce strategy and management solutions for Apple Retail. We strive to develop intelligent workforce solutions that empower our teams, elevate the customer experience, and drive Apple’s strategic objectives. As the Shared Solutions Manager in People Planning Operations, you will lead a team of program managers and analysts to define, design, deliver solutions for People Planning Operations programs and other retail wide projects by working collaboratively with operations, finance, technical and people project teams. **Description** Define People Planning Operations strategy for Apple Retail. Lead a team focused on system configuration and data driven projects to continuously improve customer experience and employee happiness while benefiting Apple through operational excellence, strategic innovation, and solution analysis. Responsibilities: - Ensures global and regional feedback is sought after and taken into account to build innovative approaches in alignment with the needs of all of Apple’s markets. - Work collaboratively with Retail Leadership and relevant partners to drive consistent adoption of People Planning Operations strategies. - Responsible for crafting the strategy, roadmap, capital funding requirements, and implementation plans for operational programs that impact stores globally. - Lead PPO data and systems configuration projects by prioritizing, delegating and measuring work for themselves and others. - Travel to stores and global offices as needed for team support and project work. **Minimum Qualifications** + Proven experience in establishing vision, goals and developing strategic and tactical execution plans. + Manager who builds capabilities of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication and mentoring. Retail team, project team or technical team leadership or equivalent experiences required. + Strong data analysis skills with proven skillset in SQL, Tableau, Python or equivalent programming / analytics solutions. + Experience with workforce management operations or technology across topics such as staffing, scheduling, payroll, absence, leave and related topics. **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + 5+ years of experience in Retail operations or related field + Proactive approach to problem solving + Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a self-starter who possesses outstanding time management skills + Ability to present to all levels of leadership, including executives + Proficient in Tableau, Excel/Numbers, Pages and Keynote applications + Expert user of Mac OS X, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and Apple hardware **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** + Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
