**Job Summary:** Atlas Technical Consultants is looking for an individual that is trained or willing to be trained to work in the field on various road construction projects in and around Gwinnett County. This is an entry level position for construction inspection and construction compliance assisting project engineers and construction managers on roadway construction projects. Work will include documenting and measuring completed work. **Minimum Requirements:** + High school diploma/GED required + Prior experience in quality control or a similar role is a plus + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately + Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment + Willingness to learn new skills and work outside. + Valid GA Driver's License **Technical Requirements:** + Knowledge of general mathematical and geometry functions. + Ability to take notes and prepare reports. + Certifications related to areas listed above a plus. + College experience or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. **Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Independent inspection of roadway construction, and/or structure, and materials to assure compliance with the contract. + Inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix; proper placement of asphalt spreading, rolling, depth, alignment and compaction; roadway and bridge structures conformance to plans; placement of culverts; structural operations such as foundation excavation; placement of piling, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete and backfill; traffic control and erosion control devices. + Contract documentation duties, which includes field measurements of pay items as well as other required documentation. + Various calculations and computations including standard geometric shapes. **ATLAS EEOC Statement** **Atlas is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
