We are now hiring a PR & Communications Manager - H&M Brazil for our upcoming opening in Brazil.
Brazil will become the newest market within region Southern Hemisphere and during the first years it is important to understand, secure and build a relevant customer experience and a strong brand community. The market has great growth potential, and you will work closely with the local and regional team to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. As a PR & Comms Manager you contribute to added customer value, a strong brand and increased fashion perception by managing and leading the PR & Comms team in accordance with H&M values, standards & policies.
Key Responsibilities:
GENERAL
Based on insights from the market and with H&M’s customer and brand in focus, set goals, priorities and localized strategies to meet the global and regional overall objectives, both short and long term. Ensure close collaboration with Customer Activation & Marketing, making sure that we optimize the possibility to leverage on earned media, amplify brand visibility, and create a strong local community with loyalty and desire for the H&M brand. Provide input, challenge assumptions, and support PR & communication activities on market level to elevate brand reputation and recognition. Take proactive responsibility for ensuring that communications activities and organizational set up covers current and future sales market needs, including ongoing risk assessment.Identify and cultivate talent within the team to build a diverse and future-ready organization, ensuring the team's growth and alignment with H&M’s vision.Promote a culture of collaboration and support within the team, both regionally and globally.MEDIA RELATIONS
Build, strengthen and protect the H&M brand by trustworthy communication.Focus on proactive Media Relations and Public Affairs activities to support regional and global objectives. Crisis Management, support, guide and coordinate when needed.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Ensure a strong local communication plan that can work effectively on sales market level with few adaptations.BRAND & FASHION PR
Implement global strategies with local adaptations to ensure relevance and effective brand building to elevate the brand whilst optimizing results.Responsible for local fashion PR activities together with the Showroom Team.Generate meaningful relationships and events with key influencers within the region, mapping community niches and strategy.Partner with local media for fashion placements, shoots, and productions with stylists.Overall responsible to secure fashion press releases and content, incl. proof reading and translations with communication specialist & press officerQualifications
Key Qualifications:
A communication degree/relevant qualification.At least 5 years’ experience from similar positions within or directly related to PR/Communications Proven strategic communication planning, media relations and issues/crisis management skillsYou have a strategic and analytical mindset with strong planning and prioritizing skills You understand synergies between owned, paid & earned media You have excellent communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English and Portuguese.You are an excellent relationship builder. You are a self-starter, able to identify key placement opportunities and new projects that will elevate the H&M Brand.Proven track record in creating movement in brand perception through PR & communications activities.Deep knowledge and experience of working with local media (fashion & corporate). Having a good network with journalists, stylists and influencers is an advantage. Previous experience from managing teams in a competitive environment is a given.Experienced buyer of media, event and creative services.Additional Information
This is a full-time position and will be based in São Paulo, Brazil and will reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager for Brazil.
