In addition to the gross monthly salary, the salary for this position (full-time) consists of various special payments. Depending on your experience, you can expect an annual starting salary of between 100.000 and 120.000 EUR in this position.
Your Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists from the agricultural trade press, daily newspapers and business media Engage in strategic stakeholder management and maintain external networking through face-to-face meetings and regular communication Expand and manage John Deere’s LinkedIn and social media presence, working strategically with influencers and content creators Highlight and promote innovative strategies and new approaches in public relations, alongside crafting compelling content and coordinating the approval processes for communication assets (texts, photos, graphics) Handle classic media relations, including outreach, coordination and approvals for press materials Identify and evaluate executive positioning opportunities for C-level REG 2 including creating tailored templates for events, magazines, podcasts, and video productions Develop and adapt key messages from REG 4 (USA) and REG 2 (Europe, partly Africa) to ensure appropriate handling, implementation, and linguistic adaptation at the regional level Align with international teams, ensuring strategic messaging resonates across different markets and cultures Develop and implement crisis communication and reputation management strategies
What Skills You Need:
Strong PR and communication skills, with experience in media relations and stakeholder management Curiosity and willingness to learn about John Deere products (models, software, services) Basic knowledge of the agricultural technology and industrial manufacturing industries Ability to craft strategic messaging and engaging storytelling Exceptional writing, editing and coordination skills for press materials and media assets Experience in crisis communication and reputation management Fluent German language skills Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
What Makes You Stand Out:
Strong networking skills and the ability to cultivate relationships within John Deere and with external stakeholders. Expertise in LinkedIn and social media strategy, influencer relations and content marketing
Education:
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
This exempt position is based in Mannheim and vacant immediately.
