Practice Area
BCG's Insurance Practice serves four industry sectors: Life insurance, Property & Casualty, Commercial & Reinsurance and Health, as well as Insurance brokerage firms. The practice works on the full range of issues of concern to top management, from strategy to operating model redesign, digital transformation, cost, process improvement, risk management strategy, asset management, product development, customer focus, and sales force effectiveness. We have a strong global network and \"on-the-ground\" experience in all major markets. The Global Practice currently comprises over 200 senior staff and works in Europe, Middle East, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, with a total of 44 insurance active offices worldwide. Our client base is the world's leading global and regional insurance and reinsurance companies and investment and wealth managers. What You'll Do
As a Regional Senior Manager within BCG's Insurance Practice, you will play a pivotal role in driving BCG’s Insurance practice business in EMESA (Europe, Middle East, South America, and Africa). The role works closely with the EMESA Regional Practice Area Leader (RPAL) as well as the General Practice Management Senior Director. You will operate strategically across systems and parts of the business (topic leaders) to build our business in EMESA. You will be sought as a thought partner, supporting leadership in setting the strategic agenda and defining implementation activities for the business while also providing ad hoc support for priority initiatives across the practice area (PA).
Key tasks include governance support, meeting facilitation, business analysis and planning, lead organization, knowledge navigation, internal communication and affiliation activities and liaising with the PA marketing team. You may be asked to manage the creation of and facilitate the implementation of the people and people development plans, supporting Regional PAL’s on recruiting, staffing, career development and pipeline topics. In addition, you will manage the commercial plan and monitor the state of the business (e.g. lead flow, proposal pipeline and sold cases), reaching out to relevant Client Officers/Managing Directors.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with BCG’s top leadership in the practice area, in the region, and serve as both a thought partner and facilitator in organizing the strategy for the entire practice.
Strong problem solving, networking, influencing and communication skills (verbal, written and PowerPoint) are absolutely essential.

The Insurance Practice Area is one of BCG's industry practices. We develop and provide expertise on key topics around insurance and for our insurance clients. We serve as thought leaders, advisors, partners and developers for top insurers across the globe.
You will work closely with the Practice Area Leaders and their leadership teams when setting the strategic agenda and driving implementation. For additional tasks, you will collaborate with the Practice Area Coordinators, Sector / Topic Managers, HR and Marketing within the PA. Further interfaces exist with other Regional Managers as well as global and regional BCG functions and teams as needed

Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently.
