Summary
Provides support to new and established Goshen Physician clinical Colleagues through orientation, ongoing training, and competency validation to ensure high quality patient care.
Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates educational and professional development programs in collaboration with Director to meet identified needs of clinical and non-clinical colleagues within Goshen Physicians. Fosters an appropriate educational climate for adult learners using a variety of teaching and learning methods.
Monitors quality improvement and risk management data to determine educational needs of specific practices.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate of an accredited career/vocational school with a medical assisting (MA) degree, certificate or diploma. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Current license as Licensed Practical Nurse (or Licensed Vocational Nurse) issued by the Indiana Health Professions Bureau. Minimum Experience: Three years’ experience in a physician office setting. Preferred Experience: Five or more years’ experience in a physician office setting. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-CM coding. Teaching/training experience with documented results. eLearning authoring. Working knowledge of NextGen and/or Meditech Ambulatory. Certifications Required: AHA CPR certification. Preferred Education: Hold an ASN or BSN diploma in Nursing. Current license as registered nurse issued by the Indiana Health Professions Bureau
