On a day-to-day basis, the therapist will often have to perform technical procedures on complex life support systems, and make on the spot decisions that affect patient care In a wide variety of settings from neonatal to geriatric. The therapist also has the responsibility for assuring that all prescribed therapy is performed with quality. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ HS Diploma Other: Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Active membership in the A.A.R.C. (American Association for Respiratory Care) recommended. Active membership in the C.S.R.C. (California Society for Respiratory Care) recommended License or Certification. Must have, present and maintain current valid license from Respiratory Care Examining Committee. **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN** One or more years experience in the practical application of Respiratory Therapy under medical supervision. With experience In the practical application of Respiratory Therapy procedures under medical direction. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** Demonstration of proficiency during clinical rotation in accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
