The Specimen Receipt and Processing Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt of clinical specimens. **What you’ll be doing:** + Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments + Open shipments and quality check patient info forms, escalating incorrect, missing information, or damaged shipments to senior level staff + Ensure correct disposal and/or recycling of kit shipping supplies + Conduct a secondary check of shipping materials to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging + Support and respond to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions + Assist in maintenance of equipment + Assist with supply inventory functions and general clean-up of workstations + Perform various administrative duties as required **What we are looking for:** + High School Diploma or equivalent + Basic computer skills + Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients + Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree **The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:** + Strong attention to detail + Good communication skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols **What we offer you:** We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. We invest in integrated benefits programs and resources to take care of our employees’ physical, mental, and emotional, financial, and social well-being so they can thrive at home and at work, at any stage of their well-being journey.
