The Specimen Management Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of clinical specimens. **What** **You’ll** **be** **Doing:** + Assist with the receipt of consignments and shipments. + Open shipments and perform quality checks on patient info forms. + Ensure correct disposal or recycling of kit shipping supplies. + Conduct secondary checks to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging. + Ship specimens for long-term storage or client disposition. + Support and respond to after-hour alarms and critical functions. + Assist in equipment maintenance and supply inventory functions. + Perform general clean-up of workstations. **What** **we** **are** **looking** **for:** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients. + Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. **The** **knowledge,** **skills,** **and** **abilities** **needed** **for** **this** **role:** + Knowledge of basic lab principles and practices. + Strong organizational skills. + Attention to detail. + Excellent communication skills. **What** **we** **offer** **you:** We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs.
