Our Defense & Aerospace Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pre-Sales Application Engineer / Field Product Specialist (FPS) to be a key player in driving growth, innovation, and customer success.
Opportunity Overview
As a vital member of our sales team, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and customer needs by designing creative technical solutions and shaping long-term relationships with clients. You’ll thrive at the intersection of sales and engineering, influencing decision-making and propelling advancements in defense and aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain strong technical relationships with clients, becoming their trusted expert and go-to resource.
• Solution Development: Analyze customer documentation and design tailored solutions for complex testing challenges.
• Showcase Innovation: Prepare and deliver dynamic product demonstrations and briefings that highlight the value and capabilities of our technology.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Factory Marketing and Engineering to communicate trends and shape future product development.
• Drive Growth: Respond to customer proposals and contribute to winning new business opportunities by crafting compelling technical solutions.
• Industry Leadership: Represent Teradyne at key technical conferences and industry events.
• Travel & Engagement: Travel to customer locations (approximately 50-60%) to engage with clients and deliver world-class support.

Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or similar field OR equivalent experience.
• Experience:
+ 10+ years in test engineering and 7+ years in the defense and aerospace industry.
+ Proven expertise in developing Test Program Sets (TPS) using Teradyne instrumentation.
+ Experience configuring test systems based on user requirements.
+ Ability to collaborate with customers to finalize requirements and develop statements of work (SOW).
+ Ability to obtain a security clearance (Secret or above).
+ U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
