PURPOSE: 1.1. This document prescribes the expectations, skills, and education / experience requirements for the position identified. 2.0 ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1. Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner. 2.2. Each person, regardless of role or position, is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP. 2.3. Responsible for knowing production needs for all printing presses. 2.4. Ensure printing presses have the job materials (ink, plates, board stock, etc.) needed to operate. 2.5. Aid with press set-up. 2.6. Clean the waste room, ink drums, waste chemical drums, and keep ink sentinel drum station clean. 2.7. Responsible for swapping floor plates. 2.8. Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment. 2.9. Provide crews with breaks as needed. 2.10. General cleaning duties on each press, sweep platforms, wipe down equipment. 2.11. Storage and maintenance of coating blankets, create new blankets as needed. 2.12. Assist with general operations on presses. Ensure each press has materials for at least 3 jobs staged and ready to run. 2.13. Pull sheeted loads and stage correctly. 2.14. Assist with equipment repairs when possible. 2.15. Clean up department before shift change (garbage and rag buckets empty, material stocked, area swept and clean) 2.16. Safely operate motorized pallet jacks. 2.17. Responsible for training successor. 2.18. Keep area in specs within all 5S requirements. 2.19. Work in a fast-paced environment. Complete tasks in a timely manner. 2.20. Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality. 2.21. Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions. 2.22. Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training. 2.23. Perform other related duties as assigned. 3.0 EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE 3.1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 3.2. Ability to follow instructions. 3.3. Previous related experience preferred. 3.4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 4.0 ABSENCE PROVISION 4.1. Other comparable position will back up this position in the event of an absence.
