The Role:
The is an exciting opportunity to work in the newly established termination team. Based at our Dee Why Plant, the role involves being part of a production line; preparing and terminating fibre and optical fibre solutions. The demand will increase to fulfil mass customers’ orders and internal requirements of other departments.
Full training will be provided allowing the versatility to work in all stages of the termination process. This means that no two days are the same! The hours for the role are 7:30am to 3:30pm.
Your tasks would include:
Assembly and termination of connectors and configuration of passive optical components.
Stripping outer jacker of the optical fibre cable without damaging the fibre.
Checking, counting, and packing products that are received, stored, and dispatched by Prysmian.
Performing regular stock checks and ensuring that stock data is up to date and accurate using our MRP system.
Keep work areas clean to reduce the risk of contamination.
Following our standard operating procedures as trained and instructed.
About you:
This job role is perfect for someone with a meticulous eye for detail and excellent hand eye coordination skills.
Any previous experience with assembling small parts or components would be ideal
The ability to organise, count and record material.
Willingness to follow both written and verbal work instructions.
Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and organised.
Excellent time management skills
Manufacturing experience or experience in a different industry leading a small team is desirable but not essential.
