Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an open position as a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (Chemical Based) based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

What You’ll get to Do:

Work with many different chemicals including acids and strong cleaning solutions.Work from verbal or written instruction that provide detailed methods and sequence of assembly operations in addition to using assembly drawings.Work closely with engineering to validate incoming age/date material; Chemical etching of items, tests properties of various frozen epoxies, mix different chemicals for other factories, chemical plating of Elgiloy sheets, and use of heavy personal protective equipment.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to pass the respirator certification.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience.Experience working with assembly instructions and test procedures.Experience working with chemicals and corresponding PPE.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies, and procedures in a manufacturing environment.Experience performing assembly techniques in order to make modifications, rework, and assemblies.Experience with performing basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers, engineers, and written materials.Experience using and understanding safety data sheets.Experience testing chemicals and epoxies for work life, appearance, hardness.Experience handling, mixing, and storing a wide variety of chemicals.Experience with chemical etching and plating processes.

Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
